A Walk Around the Blogs: It’s a Carnival Edition
Next Saturday I’m going to be hosting a Blog Carnival! Basically, that’s where I ask people to submit links they have on a specific topic and then I post those links for everyone to go see.
This is partly in celebration of meeting a major milestone on my personal finance blog, so the topic is Pets and Personal Finances. I know lots of you out there keep track of pet expenses, or talk about how to pay the vet bills. Anything like that, I’d love to see. So if you’ve got a blog post about how pets and money intersect, visit my contact page and send it in. Make sure the subject references Pets/PF Carnival so that I don’t lose any.
I’ll be posting the carnival over at the Dog Ate My Wallet and here on Life by Pets, so I’m hoping for good cross exposure.
And because I’m doing the carnival next weekend, I’m doing a Walk Around the Blogs today. Hope you enjoy these links.
I love trying to guess the breed. Thanks to Borderblog for giving us such a great challenge.
Doggerel is getting so close to being able to get her long dreamt of dog. And now she’s facing that question we all do– to crate train or no?
I love adoption stories, so am quite thrilled that Kenzo the Hovawart shared this one with us
I will admit that now that I have smaller dogs, I would love to take them everywhere with me. But I don’t, because they just aren’t well enough trained (not behaved, trained, the fault is mine, not theirs). And I admit to feeling a little jealous of the people who do take their dogs everywhere. But wanting my dog to be able to go places with me, and wanting a fashion accessory are very different things. And I have to agree with Mel’s mini-rant over at No Dog About It Blog. I want my dogs to go places with me because I like my dogs, not because I think they make me look cooler.
Over at Take Paws, the Go Pet Friendly crew is celebrating an anniversary by celebrating their differences. Sounds like a great idea to me.
And finally, two great pooches celebrated their birthdays this week- Blueberry, the gorgeous Greyhound over at Tales and Tails and Bowdu, the adorable Shiba Inu at The House of Two Bows. Hope you both enjoyed your special days.
