Sunday Evening Post #86

It’s the first day of Daylight Savings Time! While I do hate “losing” that hour of sleep, I am actually happy we’re back on DST because it makes it much easier to get to the dog park after work.   Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also to support and highlight blogs and bloggers I enjoy. Just like I will be posting 2 new to me blogs everyread more…

Sunday Evening Post #85

I’ve spent all of today in bed playing on my lap top and watching bad movies On Demand. (Fast Five for the win.) But I did manage to get myself on my desktop in order to put together this Sunday Evening Post for you.   Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also to support and highlight blogs and bloggers I enjoy. Just like I will be posting 2read more…

Sunday Evening Post #83- President’s Day Monday

It resulted in an unplanned trip and a long day. So, you’re getting the update today.   Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also to support and highlight blogs and bloggers I enjoy. Just likeread more…

Sunday Evening Post #82

As I mentioned in yesterday’s What I’m Reading post, it’s been a crazy week. Good in some ways (actually to the child search part of the adoption process), stressful in others (cash reserves are pretty much drained coming up with $18k for the refinance), but overall we’re on the path we set out for ourselves. And that’s a good thing. Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also toread more…

Sunday Evening Post #81

Today we’re having a Sunday Afternoon post because I am a football fan. It’s my second favorite professional sport (after hockey) and my third favorite sport overall (roller derby is my favorite). For those of you who care, we’re cheering for the San Francisco 49ers at our house. I’m actually not a 9ers fan. I’m a Raiders fan. And in the playoffs, I was certainly cheering for the local Seahawks. However, I happen to have graduatedread more…

Sunday Evening Post #80

It’s been a busy week at home, though hopefully much of the busy will be over by end of day tomorrow- which is good, because it is going to be a very busy week at work. It has been productive, though, and I feel good about where we are going into the last week of January.   Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also to support and highlightread more…

Sunday Evening Post: #79

Okay we’re late in the day, but at least it’s still Sunday this time around. It’s been a rather stressful week. The car had to go in for service, and we didn’t get it back until Friday. We also babysat a 4 year old Thursday night and Friday, as well as her little dog. We have learned that 4 dogs are a bit too much for our house- but it’s not us, it’s the dogs. Theyread more…

Sunday Evening Post #78

I know it’s Monday morning. I had been intending on posting last night when I got home, when I thought I was going to get home a little after 8pm. Instead, I got home after 10:30pm. Why you might ask? Because Seattle just had its coldest weekend of the winter, and my bio-diesel powered car sat outside in it. The fuel got all gummed up and wouldn’t start. C had to come pick me up from my friend’sread more…

Sunday Evening Post #77

Welcome to the first Sunday Evening Post of 2013. I have got new goals and a new format that I am hoping will help me focus on what I want to focus on this year- in blogging, every day finances, and my side hustles. Let’s start with the weekly tracking. I track every penny we spend on my spreadsheets. I don’t really need to do it here, too. Instead, what I want to make more visible is whetherread more…
