Sunday Evening Post: Weeks #107/108 – I’m Taking a Blogging Vacation

I decided to mostly give myself August off. It was not planned. It just happened. But life has been crazy enough that I do not feel bad about it. Come September, SP will be back in school, and we should get back on a schedule that lets me feel like I can blog without missing out on time with her. I love blogging, and I plan on being back, maybe even better than ever. But Iread more…

Sunday Evening Post: Week #106 – Not a Real Update

I am in Washington, DC, for a conference. I got on a plane about 1am (PDT) on Saturday morning and won’t be home until about the same time Thursday morning. On a  goals front, we did get all of the plumbing issues taken care of last week, for about $300 less than I was expecting. I don’t have much else to report, so here are two pictures – one of my favorite new government agency and oneread more…

Sunday Evening Post #105

The winner of the give away will be announced on Tuesday. You may have noticed that I missed a post last week. I think this may be the first time since I joined the Yakezie challenge that I completely missed a post- no filler, no posting a day later, etc. I just missed it, and I let myself miss it. And I am okay with that. As I mentioned in last week’s post, I have beenread more…

Sunday Evening Post #104: A Monday Morning Giveaway

Two years- two years I’ve been doing a Sunday Evening Post, though some, including this one of have come on Monday morning. It’s actually often my favorite post of the week, where I let my readers know what’s been going on in my life and hold myself accountable for my goals. (See the first Sunday Evening Post, from July 24, 2011) But two years is a long time in the blogging world, and we all needread more…

Sunday Evening Post #103

I just got back from Frys, where I made a last minute run (as in they announced the store was closing in 10 minutes 2 minutes after we walked in) to but a Surface RT. Microsoft lowered the price to $350 as of today, and since we’d been looking at tablets for a while, and I’m about to start doing some traveling for work, well, I bit the bullet and bought one. It is charging asread more…

Sunday Evening Post #102

First week of work went well. There are some IT frustrations, as apparently, when they send me an email saying I have a type of account, they don’t really mean it. They mean that they have put me in the system, but I won’t really have my account for another 24 hours. Basically, that translates to me having to use a temporary ID to log into the computer for my entire first week of work, andread more…

Sunday Evening Post #101 (Coming to you on Monday Evening)

Today was my first day of work. I was so focused on being prepped for it, that I forgot to post last night. Blogging The purpose of these two goals is, yes, to grow my blogs, but also to support and highlight blogs and bloggers I enjoy. Just like I will be posting 2 new to me blogs every week in my round ups, the point here is to draw attention to blogs that others mightread more…

Sunday Evening Post #100

It’s my 100th Sunday Evening Post- which is cool, but I prefer to think of things in years, not round numbers. So there will be a Sunday Evening Post celebration coming up soon, for the 104th edition, which will mark 2 years of my weekly check in, but not tonight. It’s been a pretty good week. I received and accepted a job offer for a job I’m pretty excited about. I ordered my new Faire dressread more…

Sunday Evening Post #99

Today was C’s first Fathers’ Day. SP and I made Reeses’ Crumble muffins last night to have for breakfast this morning. We took the dogs on a walk and played some Uno. Then C went out for his scheduled D&D game. SP and I cleaned the kitchen and proceeded to make almost 8 dozen cookies (44 white chocolate chip, 44 butterscotch chip). Then we took the dogs to the dog park, came home and she gotread more…
