A Walk Around the Blogs: WTH Are We Doing Inside? Edition
It’s gorgeous here this weekend. I want to take this walk around the blogs with you all and then get out of the house to take my dogs to the dog park. I can’t let such lovely weather go to waste, so off we go.
Over at Borderblog, they’ve been traveling. I love these pictures of Legend with the Sequoias. And I have to be honest, it makes me think that maybe, just maybe, when things settle down here (in a year or two), C and I may have to make one of our first family trips be to see the Sequoias and Redwoods.
Abby of Doggerel is sooo close to being able to have a dog of her own. And because she’s so good about being prepared and wanting to be the best dog mom ever, she’s already worrying about run-ins with off leash dogs. I agree it’s a good thing to think about, but also say don’t stress too much until you actually have your dog and know how he/she will react.
The Chronicles of Cardigan have also been enjoying some lovely weather. In fact, Dewi and Jon Farleigh recently had a chance to herd a child. Like most posts over at Chronicles, this just made me smile.
Speaking of gorgeous weather and giving your dog something to do outside, Pretty Fluffy gives us ideas for a doggie Easter Egg hunt.
And for some reason, Pretty Fluffy always make me think of Frugal Beautiful, which works out really well this week as Shannyn posted about Options for Dog Adoptions. Most people might think that pet and personal finance blogs have nothing in common, but they’d be oh so wrong.
And finally, I want to send a hug to Crystal over at Budgeting in the Fun Stuff, and hope my pet blogger friends will too. Last week, Crystal and her husband were super excited about adopting Oreo. But now they’ve had to return her to the shelter. She’s a sweet dog, but her separation anxiety was so severe, that they had no way to keep her safe when no one was home. I know this was a very difficult situation for Crystal, and I just want to offer her my support. Sometimes making the right decision for your family doesn’t feel like the right decision, but it is.
