How to Explain to a Junebug…

I am sick. I spent the better part of Saturday and pretty much all of Monday lying in bed, watching TV or reading. I love that the dogs want to be with me and close to me during these times, I really, really do.
But how do you explain to a Junebug that when Mommy is constantly coughing, perhaps lying on her chest is not the best place to be? The coughing will disrupt Howie and Larry’s sleep, and they’ll move away from me. June thinks it’s an attempt to make her move and just digs in. Thank goodness she was on top of the blankets or the top of my chest and my neck would be covered in scratchmarks.
