Howie

Something may or may not be up with Howie. This weekend, a few different times while he was lying on the bed next to me getting petted, he whimpered or he bared his teeth and snapped. The snapping may have been territoriality with Larry, as Larry always seemed to be right there to “protect” me after the snap. He very well could have been encroaching before hand, and I just missed it.

When we tried to replicate the results in a controlled environment- ie closing Larry out of the room and running our hands over the areas we thought Howie might be having pain (front half of his body is the most I could narrow it down to), he didn’t really respond. It seemed for a moment like it might be one paw, but he’s carrying weight on it like normal and activity wise- he’s still running around after the other dogs and jumping on/off the couch without an issue.

So, we’ll continue to monitor and see if we can figure out a cause. In the meantime, here are some Howie pictures.
