A Walk Around the Blogs: Friends Edition
It’s back! Finally, I have time to take another Walk Around the Blogs. My father sent more pictures of his adorable shepherd mix pup and their visitors, so we’re making this a the Friendship edition. Not quite all of our posts have anything to do with friendships, but that’s okay.
We’re going to start not in our normal neighborhood. You know I love to mix the financial and pet blogs. This week, Derek over at Creating a Passive Income wrote about Passive Income with a Dog Walking Business. His theory for making dog walking passive income is that you start the business, charging $20/hr per dog, walk 5 dogs at a time, 20 dogs a day, 5 days a week, and boom, you have an income of $104k/year. Then, you hire someone to do the actual dog walking for you and only pay them $20/hr. So what do you think, dog walking friends? Does this seem viable to you?
Jess over at You Did What with Your Weiner has been working with little Gretel on being less fearful. The most useful thing they learned in their “scary dog monster” class? It’s the same thing we’ve learned with Larry- give the dog permission to look, and then get them to break focus. Getting Larry to break focus has been the key to stopping his dog park scraps.
Okay, we all know that a seeing eye dog is the best friend of the blind person they support, and in many ways, I am sure their people feel like the dogs are life savers. In a case reported on by The Poodle (and dog) blog, Pooh the seeing eye Poodle actually did save her owners life by detecting a gas leak and getting her person out of the house.
It’s nice to know our dog parks aren’t the only ones with suicidal critters. The Beagle Eating Hill ™ at our local park is home to bunnies. But Bowpi and Bowdu of The House of Two Bows found some other great things in/on the ground – including pocket gophers and snake skin.
Time to focus on friends and having a good time. The adorable Corbin of Oh, Corbin finally got a chance to go to the lake this summer, and he took his foster brother, Brutus with him. Look at how much fun they had!
And speaking of fun times, Chocko, the lucky new kid over at Pittieful Love had a play date with good friend Tyson. They’re going to be spending a lot of time together this summer, so it’s good to see them getting along so well.
