Bits and Pieces
We clipped the dogs’ nails last night. And you know what that means, bits and pieces of doggie nail all over. And that’s what my mind feels like today- scattered, so scattered is what you’re getting.
I’ve been maintaining a Daily Dose of Cuteness thread over on a message board I’m active on. Just this week, it reached it’s one year anniversary. Even though I only post on weekdays, that’s a lot of cuteness.
I’m sure most of you know this, but in case you didn’t- you do know you can donate to animal causes without spending a penny, right? It only takes a few seconds of your time and a mouse click. It really is that easy at The Animal Rescue Site. In addition, answer a fun trivia question every day at FreeKibble and FreeKibbleKat to donate food to shelters.
I was prepping my hamburger bun the other night when I accidentally dropped it- right on top of Junebug. And it made me think of the saying “buttered toast always falls butter side down” and in my mind, I added “and lands on the Beagle”. Because really, if you have a Beagle, it is almost certainly right under where the food is. And that made me wonder, what other sayings could be altered to go with dogs. And then I had very little luck coming up with anything.
I did think of that annoying question when you’re looking for something- “Where did you leave it?” I can’t be the only person who hates that question. But when we had Moree, the search was always for a shoe, because one shoe would be where I left it, and the other would have gone walk about. So I have the question “Where did the Australian Shepherd leave it?” And honestly, if I thought like the dog, I could find my other shoe.
I also came up with- “If you want something done right, get a Border Collie to do it” But that was the end of my creativity.
What about you, are there any common sayings that you could alter based on your dogs?
