Faster than Larry
We finally met a dog faster than Larry. We knew one had to exist somewhere, but we’d never actually been presented with the fact.
The other night at the dog park, there was a German Shorthaired Pointer who led a merry game of pack chase. She was fast. I mean, normally when you watch Larry run, you think, my goodness, he’s fast. This dog made him look not fast. She outpaced him easily, even with him making cuts to get close, she’d pull away.
It was fabulous. Oh, how much energy he was able to use chasing that dog.
Now, lets you think Larry is slow. I will mention, the chase had the Pointer in the lead, Larry about 10-20 feet back, and another 30 feet behind Larry, there was Junebug, a Samoid, and a 3-legged lab mix.
June is excellent at making the cuts and judging the angles, and but she could never even come close to the Pointer. She did occasionally get in Larry’s way, though.
