Stress Relief

July 15, 2011 | Filed under: Animals Helping People
Our pets are great stress relievers, even when we’re not actively aware that we need that service.
We’ve got a bit of stress in our lives at the moment, but the other night we had a friend over and were visiting and having a great time. Junebug was lying on the back of the couch behind me, and I turned briefly to give my little girl a kiss.
My nose touched her ear and I just had to pause. She was so soft. And for that brief moment, the rest of the world and all my stress disappeared. The only thing that mattered was my sweet sleeping little girl.
The rest of the world came back a few minutes later, but miraculously, a little bit of the stress stayed away.
