Any Lap is a Good Lap
Junebug is the least discriminatory dog I have ever owned.
Moree was very much only cared for his people.
Smokey was friendly to everyone, but was very definitely our dog.
Larry takes his time getting used to everyone.
Junebug, however, loves everyone, and will go anywhere to get the attention she wants.
She now has her second dog park story. The first was when she tried to leave with the other family, their toddler, and GSD puppy. Yesterday, she got in someone else’s lap.
We’re at the dog park, standing in the big sand lot area watching dogs run around and play. There wasn’t a whole lot of running, but there was sniffing and exploring. I was facing one direction, keeping an eye on Larry, who kept trying to punk a lab. C was on the phone, but watching June, when he gives out this little sound of amusement/exasperation. I turn around.
Behind me was a gentleman sitting in a camp chair, also talking on the phone. June had decided that here was a lap. She likes being in laps, so up she had hopped. She was busy giving him a couple kisses and getting comfortable.
Luckily, he was the type of guy who lounges around a dog park in a camp chair, so while a little surprised by his visitor, he was more amused than anything.
Also lucky, his dog wasn’t the jealous type.
