<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nGratitude Entry #38 \u2013\nLazy Days<\/strong> Gratitude Entry #39 \u2013\nMy Awesome Stylist Bonus Gratitude Entry<\/strong> One of the problems with the long weekend is that, in my head, it is not just the weekend that is one day longer, but the week, too. This post should have gone up no later than yesterday, but yesterday, I still had one more day of the weekend to go, so in my head, I also had one more day to get this post up \u201con time\u201d. What have I been grateful for this week? Sunny days? Retirement parties? Spending an evening babysitting my best friend\u2019s little boy? All of those things, but they are not quite what is making the list today. Gratitude Entry #38 \u2013 Lazy Days On Saturday, we took the dogs on a walk around the block, did some organization in the game room, and that was it for productivity. It was, for the most part, a lovely, lazy day. The weather was a little chilly, so there was wrapping ourselves in blankets and watching documentaries and movies that tried to capture the magic of Indiana Jones. But we did not leave the house beyond that walk around the block. It was nice to just spend a day at home, being lazy. Gratitude Entry #39 \u2013 My Awesome Stylist For the last year and a half, my hair has been fashion colors. We have had pink and purple, blue and purple, gray with blue, bright red, and most recently, bright yellow with red orange tips. Yesterday, I went in to get my roots done and touch things up. The bright yellow with red orange tips had faded to a lovely lemon color with the ends showing a hint of strawberry. We decided not to re-bleach my roots and go back to a bright yellow or an orange, but instead, chose a \u201cregular\u201d copper color to put along the roots and pull some strands through to blend it with the lemon. My hair looks gorgeous. It is not currently a \u201cfashion color\u201d but is not quite a natural looking color either, though it is close. But whatever it is, it is gorgeous. Bonus Gratitude Entry Even if I had gotten this entry up yesterday or earlier last week, I would be doing on a \u201cbonus\u201d gratitude entry today. Today is Memorial Day. Today we remember, and are thankful for, those who died protecting our freedoms. And today, as we remember their sacrifice, we take a moment to promise them those sacrifices will not have been in vain.
