Starting with Pattern Recognition, Gibson\u2019s writing has been less in the future, closer and closer to the present. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Zero-History-William-Gibson\/dp\/0425259455\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zero History<\/a>, you might say, takes place at time that is only 17 minutes from now.<\/p>\n<p>I need to go back and re-read both Pattern Recognition and Spook Country. I wouldn\u2019t call these three books a trilogy, exactly, but they are all tied, and together, I\u2019m hoping, they will provide the base for future Gibson writing.
